Biography
Laura Zempel is a film and television editor based in Los Angeles. She has edited episodes of several series, including Sirens (2025), BEEF (2023), Euphoria (2019–2022) and Lessons in Chemistry (2023).
She studied film production at Chapman University and completed an internship with the American Cinema Editors. Zempel began her career as an assistant editor before editing full-time on the Duplass brothers’ series Room 104 (2017–2019). She has also edited the feature The Sky Is Everywhere (2022).
Zempel has won two Primetime Emmy Awards for picture editing, one for Euphoria and one for an episode of BEEF.
