Biography
Lauren Gussis is an American television writer and producer. She grew up in Chicago, Illinois, and graduated from Northwestern University in 2000. She began her career with assistant roles on series including Birds of Prey, The O.C. and North Shore before her first staff writing position on the NBC drama E-Ring.
Gussis joined the Showtime series Dexter as a staff writer for its first season in 2006. She advanced through roles including story editor, co-producer, producer, supervising producer and co-executive producer across its eight seasons. She received Writers Guild of America Award nominations for her work on the series and was nominated for two Primetime Emmy Awards. She created and served as showrunner on the Netflix series Insatiable (2018–2019) and has written and produced for Once Upon a Time and Good Sam.
