Biography
Lauren Holly is an American and Canadian actress. She was born on 28 October 1963 in Bristol, Pennsylvania, and graduated from Sarah Lawrence College.
Her early career included appearances in Hill Street Blues and the soap opera All My Children. She gained prominence playing Deputy Sheriff Maxine Stewart in the series Picket Fences (1992–1996).
Holly is known for her film roles as Mary Swanson in Dumb and Dumber (1994) and Linda Lee in Dragon: The Bruce Lee Story (1993), and for playing NCIS Director Jenny Shepard in the series NCIS (2005–2008). She was married to actor Jim Carrey from 1996 to 1997.
