Biography
Laurence Heath was an American television writer and producer. He began his career in the 1950s under the name Leonard Heideman, contributing scripts and story work to series including Bonanza, Highway Patrol and I Led Three Lives, as well as feature films such as Canyon Crossroads (1955).
Heath wrote numerous episodes of Mission: Impossible (1966), including "The Mercenaries" (1968) and "Illusion" (1969), and served as producer and story consultant during the series' later seasons. He also wrote for The Invaders (1967), Mannix (1967), Hawaii Five-O (1969) and created the series The Magician (1973).
Later credits include writing and producing work on Dynasty, miniseries such as Sins (1986) and Seventh Avenue, the film Triumph of the Spirit (1989), and ten episodes of Murder, She Wrote (1984) in the 1990s. He died in 2007.
