Biography
Laurie Lynd is a Canadian film and television director and screenwriter. He was born on 19 May 1959 in Toronto, Ontario.
Lynd trained at the Canadian Film Centre. His early short films include The Fairy Who Didn't Want to Be a Fairy Anymore (1992), which won a Genie Award, and RSVP (1991). He directed the feature films House (1995) and Breakfast with Scot (2007).
His television credits include episodes of Queer as Folk (2000), Murdoch Mysteries (2008–), My Babysitter's a Vampire (2011) and six episodes of Schitt's Creek (2015). He also directed the documentary Killing Patient Zero (2019). Lynd has received a Directors Guild of Canada award and multiple other nominations.
