Biography
Laurie Morton was an Irish actress. She appeared as Molly in the 1991 film Hear My Song and as Maggie's Mum in the 1996 film The Van.
Morton was born in Athboy, County Meath. She had a long career in Irish theatre, television and film, with notable television roles including Peggy in the RTÉ series Tolka Row and the Whirlygig Witch in the children's series Fortycoats. Her film credits also include How Harry Became a Tree (2001) and Adam & Paul (2004). She was married to actor David Kelly.
Morton died on 28 December 2022 in Donnybrook, Dublin, aged 98.
