Biography
Lavinia Wilson is a German actress. She was born on 8 March 1980 in Munich and began her career as a child with a role in the 1991 film Leise Schatten. She trained with courses at the Otto-Falckenberg-Schule and a workshop at the Michael Howard Studio in New York, and later completed a master's degree in philosophy, history and sociology.
Wilson has appeared in more than sixty films and television productions. She is known for roles in Æon Flux (2005), Deutschland 86 (2018) and Deutschland 89 (2020) as Brigitte Winkelmann, The Billion Dollar Code (2021) and Cassandra (2025). In 2003 she received acting awards at the Tbilisi and San Sebastián film festivals for Gun-Shy, and in 2005 she won the Max Ophüls Prize for Alone. She co-directed and co-starred in Hey Bunny (2016) with her then-partner Barnaby Metschurat.
