Biography
Lawrence Doheny (14 April 1924 – 7 September 1982) was an Irish-born American television and film director. He emigrated to the United States in the 1930s and began his career directing episodes of series including The Big Story and Rescue 8. His only feature film credit was as writer and director of Teenage Millionaire (1961).
Doheny directed more than 100 television episodes across several decades. He is credited with 13 episodes of Adam-12, 12 of The Rockford Files, eight of Baa Baa Black Sheep and eight of Magnum, P.I.. He also directed the television films Houston, We've Got a Problem (1974) and The Unwanted (1975). He was married to Margaret Mangan and had three children.
