Biography
Lawrence Miller was a production designer and art director who worked in film, television and theatre. His film credits as production designer include Beethoven's 2nd (1993), Buffy the Vampire Slayer (1992), L.A. Story (1991), Doc Hollywood (1991), Gone Fishin' (1997) and Angus (1995). He also served as art director on The King of Comedy (1982).
Miller began his career in stage design after studying at Carnegie-Mellon University. He taught stage and costume design at several institutions before moving to New York, where he designed for Broadway productions including Nine (1982), for which he received a Tony Award nomination for scenic design. He later worked on feature films and television projects. Miller died on 11 April 2009 in Los Angeles.
