Biography
Lea Carlson is a Canadian costume designer and production designer working primarily in independent film and television.
She served as production designer on Sarah Polley’s Stories We Tell (2012). Her other production design credits include Pontypool (2008), This Movie Is Broken (2010) and Two Hands to Mouth (2012). Carlson has also designed costumes for numerous features, among them Last Night (1998), Take This Waltz (2011), Room (2015) and Kin (2018).
She has received multiple Gemini Award and Canadian Screen Award nominations for her costume design work, and was the first film costume designer to receive the Virginia and Myrtle Cooper Award.
