Biography
Leann Bowen is an American television writer and producer. Born in the Los Angeles area and raised in the San Fernando Valley, she is Filipino-American. She developed her skills in improv and sketch comedy in Los Angeles before entering television writing.
Bowen has written episodes for Dear White People (2017–2021), serving in roles including staff writer and story editor, and for Ted Lasso (2020–), where she also worked as producer, co-producer and co-executive producer. Additional credits include writing for I Love You, America (2018) and Side Quest (2025). As part of the Ted Lasso writing and producing team she shared WGA and PGA awards; she received an individual NAACP Image Award nomination for her work on the series.
