Biography

Lee Bowman (28 December 1914 – 25 December 1979) was an American actor. Born in Cincinnati, Ohio, he left the University of Cincinnati Law School to train at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York. He made his screen debut in I Met Him in Paris (1937) and appeared in supporting roles in films including Love Affair (1939), in which he played Kenneth Bradley.

Bowman worked in romantic comedies and dramas for studios such as Paramount, RKO and MGM. His credits include Buck Privates (1941), Cover Girl (1944) and House by the River (1950). He also performed on radio and television, notably as Ellery Queen, and later worked as a communications consultant.
