Biography
Lee Edward Colston II is a writer and playwright. A Philadelphia native, he previously worked as a prison guard and MMA fighter before training as an actor.
He earned an MFA in Acting from the Juilliard School in 2016. Colston wrote for the FX series Fargo (staff writer on season 4, 2020, including the episode “East/West”) and For Life (2020). His play The First Deep Breath premiered at Victory Gardens Theater in Chicago in 2019, winning a Jeff Award for Best New Work and a Steinberg/ATCA New Play Award in 2020.
He is a co-producer on American Sports Story (2024) and has developed television projects with HBO and FX.
