Biography
Leelee Sobieski is an American actress and artist. Born in New York City, she was discovered by a casting agent while at school and began appearing in television films in the mid-1990s.
She gained prominence with roles in Deep Impact (1998), Never Been Kissed (1999) and Eyes Wide Shut (1999). Sobieski received Emmy and Golden Globe nominations for her performance in the television film Joan of Arc (1999) and a further Golden Globe nomination for the miniseries Uprising (2001).
She continued working in film and television until retiring from acting in 2012. Sobieski is married to fashion designer Adam Kimmel and has focused on her art career.
