Biography
Leigh Lawson is an English actor, director and writer. Born on 21 July 1945 in Atherstone, Warwickshire, he trained at the Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts and the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art.
He has appeared in films including Brother Sun, Sister Moon (1972) as Bernardo and Tess (1979) as Alec d'Urberville. His stage work includes productions with the Royal Shakespeare Company and the National Theatre; he has also directed plays in the West End and on Broadway.
Lawson has been married to the actress and model Twiggy since 1988.
