Biography
Lennart Wallén (1914–1967) was a Swedish film editor, assistant director and occasional director. He began working in the industry as an assistant director in the late 1930s and as an editor from around 1938, contributing to nearly 200 films over three decades.
Wallén edited four films directed by Ingmar Bergman, including Prison (1949), Miss Julie (1951) and The Seventh Seal (1957). He also worked on Music in Darkness (1948) and numerous other Swedish productions. The son of actors Edit and Sigurd Wallén, he directed a handful of films in the 1940s before focusing primarily on editing.
