Biography
Lennie Weinrib (also credited as Lenny, Leonard or Len Weinrib) was an American actor, voice actor, comedian and writer. Born in the Bronx, New York, he began his career in the late 1950s with stage work including the Billy Barnes Revue and guest appearances on series such as The Twilight Zone (1959), The Munsters (1964) and Happy Days (1974). He was also a prolific voice artist, providing voices for Bedknobs and Broomsticks (1971), Scooby-Doo and Scrappy-Doo (1979) as Scrappy-Doo, Voltron as Hunk and Prince Lotor, and numerous other animated series and commercials.
As a writer, Weinrib contributed episodes to All in the Family (1971) and wrote extensively for H.R. Pufnstuf (1969–1970), in which he also voiced the title character. He retired from acting in the early 1990s and moved to Santiago, Chile, where he died in 2006.
