Biography
Lenore Ulric (also credited as Lenore Ulrich) was an American actress known for her work on Broadway and in a small number of Hollywood films. Born Lenore Ulrich on 21 July 1892 in New Ulm, Minnesota, she began her career in stock companies before achieving prominence on the New York stage under producer David Belasco from 1916 onwards.
Her film appearances were limited, with early silent-era roles followed by a return to Hollywood in the late 1920s. She played Olympe in the 1936 adaptation of Camille starring Greta Garbo and had an uncredited role in Alfred Hitchcock's Notorious (1946). Ulric returned to Broadway in the 1940s, including in Ernest Hemingway's The Fifth Column (1940) and a revival of Antony and Cleopatra (1947). She died on 30 December 1970 in Orangeburg, New York.
