Biography
Leo Britt (27 March 1908 – 1979) was a British-American actor. He appeared in around 40 film and television productions between 1933 and 1975, working in both Britain and the United States. He became a US citizen in 1955 but later returned to England, where he died in London.
Britt is best known for his role as the Storyteller in Alfred Hitchcock's Dial M for Murder (1954). Other screen credits include Elephant Walk (1954), The Court Jester (1955), The Dirty Dozen (1967), The Charge of the Light Brigade (1968) and Goodbye, Mr. Chips (1969). During the Second World War he was among British prisoners of war forced to work on the Burma Railway.
