Biography

Leo Carrillo (also credited as Leopoldo Antonio Carrillo) was an American actor who appeared in films and television from the 1910s to the 1950s. He played Sierra in the 1934 Western Viva Villa!, Signor Ferretti in Phantom of the Opera (1943), Father Joe in Manhattan Melodrama (1934), and the Chief of Police in The Fugitive (1947).

Carrillo was best known for portraying Pancho, the loyal sidekick to the Cisco Kid, in a series of films from 1949 and the television series The Cisco Kid (1950–1956). Earlier in his career he worked as a vaudevillian and political cartoonist. He received two stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, one for motion pictures and one for television.
