Biography
Leonard Cohen was a Canadian singer, songwriter and composer. Born in Montreal in 1934, he began publishing poetry and novels in the 1950s before releasing his debut album, Songs of Leonard Cohen, in 1967.
Cohen's existing songs were used by director Robert Altman as the soundtrack for the 1971 film McCabe & Mrs. Miller. He continued to record and perform until his death in 2016.
