Biography
Leonardo Benvenuti, also credited as Leo Benvenuti, was an Italian screenwriter. He was born in Florence on 8 September 1923 and died in Rome on 3 November 2000.
Benvenuti frequently collaborated with Piero De Bernardi over a career spanning more than five decades. Their joint credits include Marriage Italian Style (1964), My Friends (1975) and its sequels, several entries in the Fantozzi series, Bianco, rosso e Verdone (1981), The Marquis of Grillo (1981) and Once Upon a Time in America (1984). He also worked on films directed by Pietro Germi, Mario Monicelli, Dino Risi, Vittorio De Sica and others.
