Biography
Leopoldine Konstantin (born Leopoldine Eugenie Amelie Konstanti) was an Austrian actress. She made her stage debut in 1907 at the Deutsches Theater in Berlin, appearing in Frank Wedekind's Spring Awakening and Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet.
She performed in silent films from 1912 and later in sound films in Germany and Austria. After emigrating to the United States via Britain in the 1930s, she worked in a factory before securing her only American film role as Madame Sebastian in Alfred Hitchcock's Notorious (1946). She returned to Austria after the war and died in Vienna in 1965.
