Biography
Gene L. Coon was an American screenwriter and television producer. He worked on the original Star Trek series from 1966 as a writer, story editor and producer, contributing to numerous episodes and helping shape elements of the show's universe.
Coon wrote several third-season episodes under the pseudonym Lee Cronin (sometimes rendered as Leroy Cronin) while under contract elsewhere. His other credits include work on series such as The Virginian, The Wild Wild West and Combat!.
