Biography
Lesley Mackie is a British actress born in Dundee, Scotland. She trained at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama and began her career in theatre, appearing in early productions including work with Billy Connolly.
Mackie is known for playing Daisy in the 1973 horror film The Wicker Man and reprising the role in the 2011 sequel The Wicker Tree. She also appeared in films such as A Sense of Freedom (1981) and had television roles including in Take the High Road and Screen Two.
In theatre, she won the Laurence Olivier Award for Best Actress in a Musical for her portrayal of Judy Garland in the original London production of Judy (1986), written by her husband Terry Wale.
