Biography
Leslie Parrish was an American actress. Born Marjorie Hellen on 18 March 1935 in Melrose, Massachusetts, she began her career as a model before making her screen debut in 1955 under her birth name. She adopted the name Leslie Parrish in 1959 and appeared in nearly 100 film and television roles until the late 1970s.
She is known for her role as Jocelyn Jordan in The Manchurian Candidate (1962), Daisy Mae in Li'l Abner (1959), and guest appearances in series including Star Trek (1967), Batman (1966–1967) and Perry Mason. Parrish also worked as an associate producer on Jonathan Livingston Seagull (1973). She was married to songwriter Ric Marlow from 1955 to 1961 and to author Richard Bach from 1981 to 1999. Parrish died on 14 November 2025 on San Juan Island, Washington.
