Biography
Lester Wm. Berke (1934–2004) was an American television producer, production manager and occasional writer and director. He worked extensively in episodic television, serving as unit production manager on The Rockford Files (1974–1978) and in various producer capacities on Quincy, M.E. (1979–1983).
Berke received story and writing credits on episodes of The Rockford Files and The Six Million Dollar Man. He completed direction of the 1958 feature The Lost Missile following the death of his father, director William Berke. His work on Quincy, M.E. earned a Primetime Emmy nomination for Outstanding Drama Series.
