Biography
Levente Molnár is a Hungarian-Romanian actor born on 10 March 1976 in Baia Mare, Romania. He trained at the Theatre Arts Department of Babeș-Bolyai University in Cluj-Napoca from 1998 to 2002, after acting at the Figura Studio in Gheorgheni. Since 2002 he has been a member of the Hungarian Theatre of Cluj, where he has also taught acting.
Molnár is best known for his role as Abraham in László Nemes’s Son of Saul (2015). He appeared again for Nemes in Sunset (2018) and has roles in films including Morgen (2010), Grey Nobodies (2016), Tabula Rasa (2016), Tall Tales (2019) and Shepherd: The Story of a Jewish Dog (2019). He received the Best Supporting Actor Award from the Hungarian Film Critics Association in 2020 and is a member of the European Film Academy.
