Biography
Li Fazeng (also credited as Fa Zeng Li or Fazeng Li) was a Chinese actor. Born in Beijing in 1941, he graduated from the Central Academy of Drama in 1964 and joined the Central Experimental Theatre (later affiliated with the National Theatre of China), where he worked as an actor and later as vice director before retiring in 2002.
He is known for his role as Governor Yu in the film Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon (2000). On television he played Zhuge Liang in the 1985 series Zhuge Liang, winning the Flying Apsaras Award for Outstanding Actor. His other screen credits include Jue zhan zhi hou (1989), Chongqing tan pan (1993) and Qi qi shi bian (1995). He died in Beijing on 6 December 2023.
