Biography
Lilian Lee Bik-Wah, also known as Li Pi-Hua, Lee Pik-wah and Lilian Lee, is a Hong Kong novelist, screenwriter and reporter. She has published more than 100 books, many of which have been adapted for film and television.
Her best-known work is the novel Farewell My Concubine, first published in 1985. She co-wrote the screenplay for the 1993 film adaptation directed by Chen Kaige. Other novels adapted into films include Rouge (film 1987) and Green Snake (film 1993), for both of which she contributed screenplays. She has also written screenplays for Dumplings (2004) and segments of Three... Extremes (2004).
