Biography
Lillete Dubey is an Indian actress and theatre director. She began her career in Delhi in 1973 as a founding member of Barry John’s Theatre Action Group and later established The Primetime Theatre Company in 1991, which she has directed and performed with in numerous productions.
Dubey is known for film roles including Pimmi Verma in Monsoon Wedding (2001), Jaswinder “Jazz” Kapoor in Kal Ho Naa Ho (2003), Mrs Kapoor in The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel (2012) and its 2015 sequel, and Ila’s mother in The Lunchbox (2013). She has also appeared in Baghban (2003), Fanaa (2006) and Housefull (2010), as well as international and television work.
