Biography
Lin Tucci (born Linda Petrucci) is an American actress. She was born on 8 February 1960 in Winthrop, Massachusetts.
Tucci is known for her performance as Henrietta 'Mama' Bazoom in the film Showgirls (1995). She trained at the Community College of Rhode Island and the Boston Conservatory of Music, and moved to New York to pursue acting. She has appeared in numerous theatre productions.
In 2013 she began a recurring role as Anita DeMarco in the series Orange Is the New Black (2013–2019). She also appeared in an episode of Law & Order (1998) as Amy Cardenas. Her performance in Showgirls earned a nomination for the Golden Raspberry Award for Worst Supporting Actress, and she shared in Screen Actors Guild Awards for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series for Orange Is the New Black.
