Biography
Lina Gennari (born Carolina Gennari) was an Italian actress and operetta singer. She was born on 22 March 1911 in Bologna and died on 11 October 1997 in Rome.
She made her stage debut in the early 1920s with the Schwarz company and later appeared as a prima donna in operettas. She achieved success in revues in the late 1930s and early 1940s.
Gennari appeared in films between 1933 and 1955. Her credits include the role of Antonia Belloni in Umberto D. (1952) and Signora Pina in The Sign of Venus (1955).
