Biography
Linden Chiles (also credited as Lindon Chiles) was an American character actor. Born Truman Linden Chiles on 22 March 1933 in St. Louis, Missouri, he grew up in Barrington, Illinois, graduated from Northwestern University with a degree in journalism, and studied at Purdue University and UCLA before serving in the US Army.
Chiles began his screen career in the late 1950s after being spotted in a UCLA class. He appeared in numerous television series from the 1960s to the 2000s, including guest roles on Perry Mason, The Rockford Files (as Elliot Malcolm, 1974), The Twilight Zone, The Munsters, Banacek, James at 15 (as Paul Hunter) and Frasier. He also had film roles such as in Marnie (1964). Chiles died on 15 May 2013 in Topanga, California, aged 80.
