Biography
Lindsay Utz is an American film editor, director and producer. Born in 1981 in Park Ridge, Illinois, she graduated from the University of Arizona in 2003 with a B.A. in Media Studies.
She began her feature-length documentary editing career with Bully (2011). Subsequent credits include Quest (2017), American Factory (2019), Miss Americana (2020) and Billie Eilish: The World's a Little Blurry (2021). She has also worked as supervising editor on The Greatest Love Story Never Told (2024) and co-directed the documentary Prime Minister (2025).
Utz received an Academy Award for her editing of American Factory and has won two Primetime Emmy Awards.
