Biography
Lío Mehiel is an American actor and filmmaker of Puerto Rican and Greek descent. They studied theatre at Northwestern University and began their career with short films and small roles, including in the 2019 series Tales of the City and the 2021 film Dear Evan Hansen.
Mehiel’s first major starring role was as Feña in the 2023 film Mutt, for which they received the Special Jury Award for Acting in the U.S. Dramatic Competition at the Sundance Film Festival. They later appeared in In the Summers (2024) and played Alex in Luca Guadagnino’s After the Hunt (2025). Other credits include WeCrashed (2022), Baby Ruby (2023) and Deception (2018).
