Biography
Lisa Hanawalt is an American illustrator, writer and cartoonist. Born in June 1983 in Palo Alto, California, she graduated from UCLA in 2006 and has published several books of comics and illustrations, including My Dirty Dumb Eyes (2013) and Hot Dog Taste Test (2016).
She served as production designer and producer on the Netflix animated series BoJack Horseman (2014–2020), having collaborated with its creator Raphael Bob-Waksberg since high school on a webcomic. Hanawalt created and executive produced the animated series Tuca & Bertie (2019–2022). She has also co-hosted the podcast Baby Geniuses with Emily Heller.
