Biography
Lisa Riley is an English actress and television presenter. She trained at the Oldham Theatre Workshop from the age of nine and was signed by an agent three years later. Her early roles included appearances as an extra in Coronation Street and a part in the film Butterfly Kiss (1995).
Riley is best known for playing Mandy Dingle in the ITV soap opera Emmerdale from 1995 to 2001 and from 2019 onwards. She presented You've Been Framed! from 1998 to 2002 and appeared as a contestant on Strictly Come Dancing in 2012. Other credits include Fat Friends (2002–2005), Waterloo Road (2011–2013) and the BBC miniseries Three Girls (2017), in which she played Lorna Bowen. She was appointed MBE in 2026 for services to drama and charity.
