Biography
Lissa Levin is a television writer and producer. She wrote the Cheers episode 'Norman's Conquest' (1984). Her other television writing credits include episodes of WKRP in Cincinnati (1978), Gloria (1982), Family Ties (1982), Newhart (1982), Mr. Belvedere (1985), A Different World (1987) and Mad About You (1992). She also held producer roles on series including Gloria, Brothers and Complete Savages (2004).
Levin is a playwright and librettist. Her play Sex and Education has been staged in Los Angeles and New York. She received the Kleban Award for her libretto for the musical Twist of Fate, which also won L.A. Weekly's Musical of the Year and two Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle Awards. She has written the book for the musical Hazel.
