Biography
Liu Zhongyuan is a Chinese actor. Born on 1 February 1923 in Tianjin, he trained in spoken drama and joined the Qingyi Art Troupe in 1949 before retiring from the stage in 1984. He has appeared in numerous film and television roles, often portraying older or supporting characters.
His screen credits include the Old Scholar in Hero (2002), the Wizard in Wing Chun (1994), the Old Master in Life on a String (1991), and parts in series such as Demi-Gods and Semi-Devils (2003) and Judge of Song Dynasty (2005). He received three nominations for the Hundred Flowers Awards.
