Biography
Liz Kearney is an Australian film producer based in Melbourne. She began her career with short films, including Jack in a Box (2006) and Zak Hilditch’s Transmission (2012). Her first feature as producer was These Final Hours (2014), which screened in Cannes Directors’ Fortnight.
Kearney has produced Paper Planes (2014), Acute Misfortune (2018), Blueback (2022) and Sweet As (2022). She was executive producer on 1922 (2017) and produced the animated short Lost Property Office (2017), shortlisted for an Academy Award. She co-produced Adam Elliot’s stop-motion feature Memoir of a Snail (2024), for which she and Elliot received an Academy Award nomination for Best Animated Feature.
