Biography
Lloyd Gough (born Michael Gough) was an American character actor. Born on 21 September 1907 in New York City, he began his career on Broadway in the 1930s and appeared in numerous stage productions through 1960.
He made his film debut in the 1940s and is known for roles in All My Sons (1948), Tulsa (1949) and Sunset Boulevard (1950), in which he played Morino. In the early 1950s Gough and his wife, actress Karen Morley, were blacklisted after invoking the Fifth Amendment before the House Un-American Activities Committee; his name was removed from the credits of Rancho Notorious (1952). He returned to film and television in the late 1960s, appearing in series such as The Green Hornet (1966–67) as Mike Axford and later in The Front (1976). Gough died on 23 July 1984 in Los Angeles.
