Biography
Lloyd Price (1933–2021) was an American singer, songwriter and performer who appeared as himself in several documentaries. He had his first hit single, 'Lawdy Miss Clawdy', in 1952 and went on to record further successes in the 1950s and 1960s before focusing on live performances and concerts from the 1970s.
Price is credited as Self – Concert Promoter in the 1996 documentary When We Were Kings. He also appeared as himself in other films and television programmes, including Sam Cooke: Legend (2003). He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1998.
