Biography
Lloyd Rose is an American writer. She contributed the story for the season seven episode Zen and the Art of Murder of the television series Homicide: Life on the Street.
Rose was the theatre critic for The Washington Post. In 1987 she adapted Harvey Pekar's autobiographical comics into the stage play American Splendor, produced at Arena Stage in Washington, DC.
She is known for her Doctor Who spin-off novels The City of the Dead (2001), Camera Obscura (2002; winner of the Doctor Who Magazine Award) and The Algebra of Ice (2004). Rose also wrote the Big Finish audio drama Caerdroia (2004) and contributed to the 2003 mini-series Kingpin. In 2015 she adapted Alice in Wonderland for the stage.
