Biography
Lois Erdmann Wright (9 July 1928 – 13 October 2023) was an American artist, author and television personality. She appeared uncredited as herself in the 1975 documentary film Grey Gardens directed by Albert and David Maysles.
Wright lived at Grey Gardens with Edith Bouvier Beale and her daughter for thirteen months from 1975. She later wrote the memoir My Life at Grey Gardens: 13 Months and Beyond. She hosted The Lois Wright Show on East Hampton public-access television for over thirty years, with her final broadcast in December 2018. As an artist she exhibited at Guild Hall in East Hampton and the National Arts Club in New York; her work often featured subjects connected to Grey Gardens. She was also known locally as a palmist.
