Biography
Lorenzo Carcaterra is an American novelist, journalist and television writer. Born on 16 October 1954 in New York City, he began his career as a reporter and editor at the New York Daily News before moving into television and fiction.
He is best known for the novel Sleepers (1995), which was adapted into a feature film in 1996. Carcaterra has written and produced episodes of the NBC series Law & Order (1990), including the episodes 'Couples' (2003), 'Payback' (2004) and 'Cry Wolf' (2005). His other novels include Apaches (1997), Gangster (2001) and Street Boys (2002). He has also written pilots for several television series.
