Biography
Lorenzo Ciompi is an Italian actor born on 11 January 1963 in Florence. He trained at the Laboratorio internazionale dell’attore di Orazio Costa in Florence, the Bottega teatrale in Rome and the Actors Studio in New York.
Ciompi is known for his role as Andrea Gherardi in the long-running Italian soap Vivere (1999–2008) and as Dottor Livata in the series Commesse (1999). His film credits include Pierluigi in I volontari (1998) and the Rich Man in Guy Ritchie’s Swept Away (2002). He also appeared in Incantesimo (2003) as Dr Luca Biagi.
He won three Telegatti awards for best actor in a soap opera in 1999, 2000 and 2001.
