Biography
Lorna Thayer was an American character actress. Born Lorna Patricia Casey in Boston, Massachusetts, she was the daughter of silent screen actress Louise Gibney. She appeared in theatre, including Broadway productions, and on television as well as in films from the early 1950s onwards.
Thayer played the waitress in Five Easy Pieces (1970). Other film credits include The Lusty Men (1952), The Andromeda Strain (1971), Skyjacked (1972), Nothing in Common (1986) and Frankie and Johnny (1991). She died in 2005 at the Motion Picture and Television Fund retirement home in Woodland Hills, California.
