Biography
Lou Marini is an American saxophonist, arranger and composer. He is known professionally as 'Blue Lou' Marini and has worked as a session musician and band member across jazz, rock, blues and soul.
Marini attended the University of North Texas College of Music. He played with Blood, Sweat & Tears from 1972 to 1974 and was a member of the Saturday Night Live house band from 1975 to 1983. He joined the Blues Brothers band and appeared in the 1980 film The Blues Brothers and its 1998 sequel Blues Brothers 2000, both times credited as 'Blue Lou' Marini.
