Biography
Louis Ducreux (22 September 1911 – 19 December 1992) was a French actor, screenwriter and composer. Born Louis Raymond Bordat in Marseille, he made his film debut in 1938 and continued working in cinema until his death.
He is known for roles including Monsieur Ladmiral in A Sunday in the Country (1984), Papy in Dial Code Santa Claus (1989) and the Professor in The Double Life of Véronique (1991). Ducreux received a César Award nomination for Best Actor in 1985 for A Sunday in the Country. He also wrote lyrics for the title theme of Max Ophüls's La Ronde.
